HOUSEWINE AT YOUR RESTAURANT: a house wine with a name and a story
On many wine lists, the house wine is a line without a story: a colour, a grape, a price. HOUSEWINE AT YOUR RESTAURANT gives that line a name, a character and a playlist your guests can open at home. Whether that suits your kitchen, your clientele and your restaurant is something we’ll explore together in a personal conversation.
What we’ll talk about together
We decide together exactly what a partnership involves. In a first conversation, we go through these points, tailored to your list and your team.
- Three wines as a recognisable house wine on your list
- A distinctive name and character for each bottle
- A story your front-of-house team can tell with ease
- A playlist guests open on their phones at home
- A personal conversation about approach and presentation

For the list and the floor
A house wine your team has something to say about
Think of the moment a guest asks what the house wine is. Often the answer stops at a red or a dry white. With HOUSEWINE, your team has more to work with: Into The Deep is a supple Merlot with plum and cherry, Pure Plastic Dreams an elegant Chardonnay with peach and vanilla. A name that sticks turns an ordinary order into a short conversation at the table.
The story is in the bottle itself, too. Each wine was given a striking name and its own playlist, born of the founders’ love of wine and house music. Anyone who wants to know after the meal which music belonged with their glass can open the playlist on their own phone, or at home with the next bottle. That way, your restaurant travels home with them for a while.
Does it suit your kitchen? A restaurant serving grilled fish and creamy sauces will find a natural partner in Pure Plastic Dreams. If you serve lots of sharing dishes or meat from the charcoal grill, Into The Deep is the likelier choice, and for aperitifs on the terrace there’s Show Me The Love. How the wines appear on your list, whether by the glass, by the bottle or paired with a dish, is something we’ll look at together.

A first introduction
How a partnership with your restaurant begins
First, we want to get to know your restaurant. What does your kitchen do, who sits at your tables, how do you recommend wine today, and what atmosphere do you create? A bistro with a full dining room on Fridays needs something different from a place with a small, changing menu. Only once that picture is right do we look at which of the three wines fit.
That conversation also covers the practical questions: what quantities, how you present the bottles and what your team wants to know about each wine. We only make arrangements when it works for both sides. Send us a message via the contact form or email info@housewine.be, and we’ll schedule a conversation at a time when your kitchen isn’t running flat out.

Frequently asked questions
- Is this only for restaurants with a big wine list?
- Not at all. It’s precisely a compact list that benefits from a house wine that introduces itself. Whether you run a bistro, a brasserie or a restaurant with a seasonal menu, we’ll look together at whether one of our three wines, or all three, suits your kitchen and your guests.
- Can our guests listen to the playlist too?
- Yes, on their own phones or later at home. Each bottle has a Spotify playlist that your guests open themselves, for example via the wine’s page on housewine.be. For the music in your restaurant itself, you carry on working as you do today.
- Are there fixed purchase terms or minimum orders?
- We don’t publish fixed rules on that. We agree quantities, delivery and terms directly with you, based on the size of your restaurant and the way you want to serve the wines.
- How does my front-of-house team get to know the story of the wines?
- Short and simple: a name, three flavour notes, a dish that goes with it and a playlist for home. A story like that can be passed on in a few sentences. We’ll work out with your front-of-house manager how best to share it with your team.
