Linger at the table, taste together
Pull up a chair at HOUSEWINE À TABLE: one long table for everyone
One long table, laid for all your guests. On it, cheeses, charcuterie, bread and spreads from the region; in the glasses, our own wines; and music playing softly along. HOUSEWINE À TABLE sets that table beside the black Defender, somewhere with character in Belgium, the Netherlands or France.
On and around the long table
À TABLE isn’t a standalone menu but a whole made up of table, food, wine and music. These are the fixed elements; we tailor the details to each event.
- One long, laid table for the whole party
- Regional produce: cheese, charcuterie, bread and spreads
- The three HOUSEWINE wines: rosé, Chardonnay and Merlot
- Music that follows the pace of the table
- The Defender as a bar beside the table
- Food from local producers or our regular catering partners

Inspired by Champagne
At a long table, everyone joins the conversation
The inspiration for HOUSEWINE À TABLE comes from the Champagne region. There, wine, food and landscape flow into one another so naturally that nobody makes a ceremony of it. We bring that ease to your event. No stiff dinner on a tight schedule, but one long table where dishes pass from hand to hand and the person next to you is no longer a stranger after an hour.
What ends up on the table depends on where the table stands. An evening in Haspengouw gets different cheeses, different charcuterie and different bread from an evening in the Westhoek or the Condroz. For the food, we knock on the doors of local producers wherever we can, or turn to the caterers we work with regularly. That way, every table tastes a little of its own region.
Where do you put a table like that? On a wine estate, in a garden or courtyard, by a castle, in a gallery, on a company site or simply surrounded by greenery. The Defender stands close by as a bar, for anyone who wants to stretch their legs for a while, glass in hand. The concept works for a wedding or a birthday, but just as well for a team-building day or a product launch.

How your table takes shape
First the setting, then everything on the table
Tell us what you have in mind: the place, the date, how many people are joining and what there is to celebrate. For a birthday in an orchard, we source different produce from what we’d choose for a product launch in a gallery. Within two working days you’ll receive a proposal that brings together table, food, wine and music, with a price calculated for your evening.
Then it’s the food’s turn: which regional produce your guests will taste, and which producer or caterer will deliver it. If your venue already works with a regular caterer, we coordinate with that partner. At the same time, we look at the venue itself: how long the table can be, where the Defender can stand and whether there’s power nearby.
A table in the open air needs a plan B. A barn, a glasshouse or a covered courtyard at the same venue may be enough; we agree in advance with you and the venue which space it will be if it rains. On the evening itself, the table is laid, the bottles are chilled and the music is already playing when the first guests look for their seats.

Frequently asked questions
- Is HOUSEWINE À TABLE a full dinner?
- Not in the classic sense, with courses served one after another. Your guests share platters of regional produce, with our wines on the table alongside. We decide how substantial the food will be together with the producer or caterer looking after it.
- What does an À TABLE evening need on site?
- Enough level space for one long table and, not too far from it, a firm spot for the Defender. A power point nearby makes things easier. With a few photos of the venue, we can quickly see where the table will look its best.
- Can À TABLE also take place in the Netherlands or France?
- Yes, the table crosses the border with us. For an event outside Belgium, a contribution towards transport costs is added, which you’ll find in your proposal. In the Netherlands or France too, the produce comes from near your venue wherever possible.
- Can we combine À TABLE with a drinks reception at the bar?
- Absolutely. The Defender is part of the concept, so an aperitif at the bar before everyone sits down makes a natural opening. We’ll set out together in your event’s running order how long the reception lasts and when the table opens.
